Tractrix for Revit

Terminal, pier and apron design meet in the same model. Tractrix for Revit draws swept paths, clearance envelopes and issues into your plan views, so the building and the aircraft that serve it are checked together.

Why in Revit

Check the stand while you design the pier.

The same commands as AutoCAD, the same results, drawn with Revit's own view-specific elements so they stay out of your model geometry and schedules.

Commands

One vocabulary

TXPATH, TXPUSHBACK, TXTURN, TXJETBLAST, TXGSE, TXLIBRARY, TXSETTINGS, TXCLEAR, TXREPORT and TXRERUN appear on the Tractrix ribbon tab.

Graphics

View-specific results

Envelopes become filled regions and tracks become detail lines on TX line styles, so visibility/graphics overrides and view templates control them.

Units

Metres, whatever the project

Revit's internal feet are converted to metres before a request is sent and back again when results are drawn.

Engine

Local or cloud, your choice per workstation.

With the local engine, Revit starts tractrix-engine run and nothing leaves the machine. With Tractrix Cloud, requests go over HTTPS with an organisation API token that is stored encrypted for your Windows user.

Preview scope

The Revit preview draws results in plan views. Stand design and taxiway fillets arrive with protocol v1.1. Results are planning aids; check critical designs against the manufacturer's airport planning manual.

Try the preview on your next stand study.

Preview builds are published with GitHub releases, alongside the AutoCAD add-in.
