Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Tractrix does not sell your personal information, does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and does not use it for targeted advertising or for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We have not done so in the past 12 months. You do not need to do anything, but you can still record an opt-out: it will be honoured if our practices ever change.

How to opt out

  • Cookie settings. Use the button above or Cookie settings in the footer of any page. Everything optional is already off unless you switched it on.
  • By e-mail or form. Use the privacy request form or write to Tractrix support. An opt-out request needs no identity verification.

Rights under US state privacy laws

Depending on your state of residence — for example California (CCPA as amended by the CPRA), Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and others — you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we hold about you, and receive it in a portable format;
  • Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, of targeted advertising, and of profiling in furtherance of decisions with legal or similarly significant effects (none of which we do);
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information (see below);
  • Appeal a refusal to act on your request, where your state provides for it: reply to our decision with “Appeal” and we will respond within [45 / 60] days; if we deny the appeal, you may contact your state Attorney General;
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Access, deletion and correction requests

Use the privacy request form, or e-mail us. To protect you, we verify your identity by matching the details you give with what we hold — for a Tractrix Cloud account, by confirming the request from the account's e-mail address. We acknowledge requests within 10 business days and respond within 45 days; if we need longer (up to a further 45 days), we tell you why.

Authorised agents

You may ask someone else to make a request for you. The agent must give us your signed permission (or a power of attorney under the California Probate Code), and we may ask you to verify your identity directly with us and confirm that you gave permission. Opt-out requests through an agent need only the signed permission. Agents should use the privacy request form and state that they act for someone else.

Sensitive personal information

The only sensitive personal information we process is Tractrix Cloud sign-in credentials (your e-mail address with a password, which we store only as an Argon2id hash). We use it only to authenticate you and keep your account secure — purposes for which the law does not provide a right to limit (California: 11 CCR § 7027(m)). We do not collect precise geolocation, government identifiers, financial account details [until card billing is enabled] or other sensitive categories, and we do not infer characteristics about you.

Non-discrimination

We will not deny you the service, charge a different price, give a different quality of service or otherwise penalise you because you exercised a privacy right, opted out, or use GPC. The website and products work the same whatever you choose. We offer no financial incentives in exchange for personal information.

Notice at collection

This notice lists the personal information we collect, why, and for how long. Details are in the privacy notice.
