Website terms of use
On this page
1. Other terms that may apply
- Tractrix Cloud is governed by the Tractrix Cloud Terms of Service, the Acceptable Use Policy and, for organisations, the Data Processing Addendum.
- Software you download from the Website (Tractrix for QGIS, AutoCAD and Revit, and the OpenAirside engine) is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later, as described in the desktop software licence. These website terms do not restrict any right the GPL gives you.
- How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy notice and the Cookie notice.
- Our technical content is subject to the Engineering disclaimer.
2. Using the Website
You may browse, read, print and share links to the Website for any lawful purpose. You must not:
- use the Website in a way that breaks the law or infringes anyone's rights;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, the servers that host it or any connected system, or test their security other than under our vulnerability disclosure policy;
- interfere with the Website's operation, for example by overloading it or introducing malicious code;
- use automated means to access the Website at a rate that places an unreasonable load on it, or in disregard of
robots.txt; - frame the Website or present its content as someone else's, or in a way that suggests an affiliation with Tractrix that does not exist.
3. Intellectual property
- The text, screenshots, diagrams, design and other content of the Website are © Tractrix unless stated otherwise. You may quote reasonable extracts with attribution and a link, and reproduce content as permitted by law (for example for criticism, review, teaching or research).
- The Website's source code is published in the Downloads (account required) under the licence stated there; see Licences.
- The Tractrix names and logos are trademarks of Tractrix. How you may refer to them is set out in the trademark policy. Third-party trademarks, such as AutoCAD, Revit and QGIS, belong to their owners; their mention does not imply affiliation or endorsement.
- Values from ICAO, FAA and EASA publications and from manufacturers' documents are cited for reference; the publications themselves are not reproduced and remain the property of their publishers.
4. Downloads
Software offered for download is provided under its own licence. Release files are published with SHA-256 checksums so that you can check their integrity; verify them before installing, and download only from the official channels listed on the download page. Beta and preview builds are for evaluation and may contain defects.
5. Technical content and no professional advice
The documentation, methodology, standards tables and help articles explain how the products work. They are prepared with care but may contain errors or become out of date, and they do not constitute engineering, legal or other professional advice. Always check against the current official standards and the manufacturers' documents, and consult suitably qualified professionals. See the Engineering disclaimer.
6. Feedback and contributions
The “Was this page helpful?” buttons store your answer only in your browser, and only if you consent (see the Cookie notice); nothing is sent to us. Issues, discussions and pull requests on GitHub are subject to GitHub's terms and to the project's contribution guidelines. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
7. Links to other websites
The Website links to third-party websites, such as GitHub, standards bodies, manufacturers and regulators. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link does not imply endorsement. You may link to any page of the Website, provided you do so fairly and lawfully and do not suggest any form of association or endorsement that does not exist.
8. Availability and changes to the Website
We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the Website at any time. We do not guarantee that the Website will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors or harmful components; use up-to-date security software.
9. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the Website and its content are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
10. Liability
The Website is provided free of charge. To the extent permitted by law, Tractrix is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the Website or its content, including indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, business, data or goodwill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms by publishing a new version on this page with a new version number and date. The version in force when you use the Website applies. Past versions are listed in the change log.
